The Red Rooster year 2 program, ages 3½ - 4½,  focuses on independence, extends language/social interaction skills, and introduces pre-academic skills. There is a strong focus on language development through oral interactions, phonemic awareness, comprehension, and expansion of vocabulary.

The Red Roosters play an active role in building their curriculum alongside their teachers. The children are encouraged to be more independent during peer conflict resolution, problem solving, and taking-on responsibilities within their group. The independence they build in their Red Rooster year, will be fundamental to navigating through the Blue Bird year challenges.
