In our Yellow Duck year, catering to ages 2½ to 3½, we facilitate a pivotal transition period. Here, our primary emphasis lies on nurturing social and emotional skills alongside language development. This phase serves as a gentle introduction to the school environment for our youngest learners, providing ample opportunities for them to engage with their peers. With a low student-to-educator ratio of 1:6, our dedicated educators offer personalized support to our Yellow Duck students as they begin to grasp the essence of community belonging.

The initial months are dedicated to fostering connections and fostering a sense of unity among the children. Progressing through the year, we prioritize the refinement of both gross and fine motor skills, empowering children to navigate movement and manipulate tools with increasing independence. Our aim is to cultivate a sense of self-assuredness among our young learners, instilling in them the confidence to navigate the classroom environment and extend assistance to their peers.

While we do not mandate that Yellow Duck children be potty trained upon enrollment, we collaborate closely with parents to devise a personalized toilet learning plan, aimed at completion by the end of the school year.
